Settled in the center of the Natural State, Searcy certainly lives up to the state's nickname! 
The landscape in and around the city provides adventure for every kind of outdoor explorer–from swimming and fishing in the Little Red River to hiking at Bridal Veil Falls in nearby
Heber Springs.


Searcy is home to a historic and vibrant downtown community. Depending on the time of year, visitors can find themselves enjoying the White County Famer's Market, singing and dancing alongside locals at Get Down Downtown, or dining from local food trucks while listening to live music at the Beats and Eats music festival. With several local restaurants and stores within walking distance of downtown, shopping local is a large component of Searcy living. 


Searcy is a college town where Harding University draws students and visitors from around

the globe. About an hour from Little Rock, Harding offers students over 100 areas of study with hands-on experience around the town, state, nation, and world. Visitors to Searcy can enjoy NCAA Division 2 sports, a variety of musical and theatrical performances, and celebrations year-round. Notable Harding events include the Festival of Lights during Christmastime and Spring Sing near Easter.
